I have been a teacher for nineteen years and this is my thirteenth year teaching with Literacy First Charter School and eleventh year at Liberty High School.

I completed my student teaching at Ramona High School while teaching World History to Sophomores and U.S. History to Juniors. I have a bachelors degree in Business Marketing and a Masters degree Education.

I am married to my wonderful wife Krista and we have two boys; Nolan 21 and Blake 27.  Both of my boys played many sports including soccer, baseball and rugby. 

I was the Director of Youth Ministries for over 22 years and retired five years ago.  I am still very involved with my church as the head of the Men's Ministry and my wife and I are small group leaders for the Married Couples group.

If I am not with my family, at the school or at my church I am probably either at my pottery studio, in my garden or in the mountains somewhere.

My home away from home is Mammoth Lakes, California. In the summer I like to fly fish on the San Joaquin River and in the winter I like to ski on Mammoth Mountain.
